Shooting live bands has its own thrill that can't be matched in regular portraiture. It's alot of patient waiting to capture the feeling on the guitarist's face during a solo or the lead singer making huge gestures trying to pull the crowd into the act. Here is a small collection of pictures i've taken in the past few years and some of them were on a simple point n click, just to prove that the photographer makes the photo not the camera.


The first 5 pictures are of my friends' band Swing Hailey who have been very patient with me constantly photographing them at their gigs so i can gain more experience.

James, Shawn and I attacked the beach awhile ago with our friend Monica modeling for us. She was extremely patient dealing with directions from all three of us!

Our photographer goal was to practice using available light and using a bounce card under the tutelage of James. My end results follow, I hope you enjoy and that i can keep uploading more!
